Morellana Picuda oil is an Ecological Extra Virgin Olive Oil single varietal Picuda of exceptional quality destined for the most demanding palates, the result of the work and experience matured over more than a century by the expert millers of Sucesores de Hermanos López S.A.

Morellana Picuda is produced at the end of October, exclusively by hand and in limited quantities.

It is an intense green fruity oil with aromas of apple, banana and freshly cut grass. 

In the mouth it is sweet with notes of almond, aromatic herbs and green wheat. At the end, a pleasant spiciness

► Tasting notes

The aroma of the organic extra virgin olive oil morellana picuda is intense fruity of green olive, of great complexity and harmony, with fruity notes of apple and banana, highlighting the green almond for its intensity, as well as freshly cut grass.

Its entrance in the mouth is very sweet, characteristic of the picuda variety, appreciating in the front part the almond and herbaceous notes of green wheat.

Moving to the back, green banana and artichoke are perceived, the bitterness is almost imperceptible and with a very light final spiciness.

► Pairing

Recommended for raw use. The fruitiness of this EVOO elevates the flavor of dishes such as tomato, fresh cheese, grilled meats, and salads.

This oil is indicated for arugula salads, oven-roasted artichokes and grilled meats (for a spicy flavor).

► Elaboration

Traditional mountain olive grove with high slopes at an altitude of 700 to 1000 meters above sea level.

Continental Mediterranean climate with average rainfall and marked thermal oscillations. Clayey soil with high calcium carbon content.

Olives from 100% dry-farmed Picuda variety olive groves. Harvested in the second fortnight of October by hand and by shaking.

Extraction is carried out no later than 4 hours after harvesting by means of a continuous two-phase centrifugation system.

It is stored in tanks with an inert atmosphere to preserve the olfactory and gustatory complexity of this olive juice. Morellana picuda oil is marketed filtered, presenting a very clean appearance.

Only by controlling the entire process can the superior quality extra virgin olive oil be obtained, in Sucesores de Hermanos López they guarantee the product from the origin to the bottling.
