Morellana Hojiblanca oil is a single varietal Hojiblanca Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil of exceptional quality destined for the most demanding palates, the result of the work and experience matured over more than a century by the expert millers of Sucesores de Hermanos López S.A.

Morellana Hojiblanca is produced at the end of October, exclusively by hand and in limited quantities.

It is an oil with an intense green aroma, elegant and complex.

In the mouth it has notes of olive leaves, aromatic plants and artichokes. Moderate bitterness that gives it a pleasant spicy finish.

► Tasting Notes

Its balance, harmony and elegance in aroma and flavor allows us to enjoy the complexity of green and aromatic nuances of this freshly squeezed juice from olives of the Hojiblanca variety.

Its entrance in the mouth is sweet, appreciating in the front part the olive leaf and herbaceous notes. Moving to the back, the medium bitterness and artichoke are appreciated with a very persistent intense final spiciness characteristic of the Hojiblanca variety.

►Food pairing

Recommended for raw use. With its fresh herb aroma it combines well with any dish in which you would use black pepper: salmon, vegetables, grilled meats and salads.

A very versatile oil that can be used on fish, chicken, all vegetables and mature cheeses.

► Elaboration

Traditional mountain olive grove with high slope, and at an altitude of 700 to 1000 meters above sea level.

Continental Mediterranean climate with average rainfall and marked thermal oscillations. Clayey soil with high calcium carbon content.

Olives from 100% dry-farmed Hojiblanca olive groves. Harvested in the 2nd fortnight of October by hand and by shaking.

Extraction is carried out no later than 4 hours after harvesting by means of a continuous two-phase centrifugation system.

It is stored in tanks with an inert atmosphere to preserve the olfactory and gustatory complexity of this olive juice. Morellana Hojiblanca oil is marketed filtered, presenting a very clean appearance.

Only by controlling the entire process can the superior quality extra virgin olive oil be obtained, in Sucesores de Hermanos López they guarantee the product from the origin to the bottling.
